SeaBase 2013 Lottery This Month

                                                                    

The Seabase lottery for year 2013 is being held this month.  To increase our likelihood of getting the trip we want I need to have an idea of how many are interested in going during the summer of 2013.  There is no hard commitment at this time.  If you are interested in attending in 2013 please see the website event registration and signup.  This is just a preliminary signup for those who are interested.  Check out Seabase here http://www.bsaseabase.org/About.aspx  Further details will be provided should we receive a lottery spot.  Participants must be thirteen (13) and graduated from the 8th grade or fourteen (14) years old to participate in all programs.

Chess Merit Badge

Requirement 4A and 5D for the Chess merit badge are homework assignments that the Scouts need to complete in order to finish the merit badge. Review page 27-29 to complete requirement 4A homework on page 38 of the presentation.  Page 37 can be used to complete requirement 5D.

Summer Camp & 13yr and Up High Adventure Camps

We are going to Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2) for 2012 summer camp, so check it out.                                                         
 
 
This camp is located about an hour out of the Fort Worth, since the camp is so close to a large population center we need to register as early as possible. In an attempt to beat the heat we are going the first week of camp June 10 - 16. We need your input to reserve an appropriately sized campsite please click below and register, $50 deposit, if you would like to attend camp next summer. The cost to attend camp is  $230 per scout, and  $105 per adult.

We would like to offer the High Adventure program Chisholm Trail Adventure, for all scouts that will be 13 years old or older by June 10, 2012.  Signup for Chisholm Trail is Closed
 
 
Same date June 10-16.
$390 per person. $100 deposit. The fees are set-up like Sea Base. We will be renting a boat for the week, so the cost are fixed and non-refundable. If you decide to sign-up and pay your deposit, you will be obligated to pay the remaining $290 balance. This is a backpacking camp, the leaders guide says no foot lockers, they will be moving everyday to a different campsite. This program sells out, so we need to register as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate everyone who signs up, but due to boat capacity, registration will be first come first served. Anyone wanting to attend Chisholm Trail needs to commit by the last Troop meeting in November the 28th, otherwise you will not be able to attend this adventure camp.
